Information Technology Pathways Course Description

Information Technology Pathways

Employers are often skeptical of applicants and may not hire them for the available position.  For example, a candidate with only CompTIA A+ certification might not be hired for a position that calls for a computer technician qualification. However, if the candidate has a CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications, an employer might hire the candidate. It is important to note that companies do not spend time and money. Today repairing a malfunctioning computer, they instead purchase a new computer that is more reliable. The organization uses their computers in a network environment that makes it imperative that a computer technician with computer Network training and fix computers will secure a job before a computer technician without network experience. It is now easier for students to choose their career options and be confident that they have made the right choice. Pathways provide students with a clear direction for success in achieving their goals, with tools to stay on track and save time and money. New and returning students can take advantage of the IT Pathways offers by scheduling an appointment with an advisor at UDC-WDLL to discuss their IT goals.
